It All Begins With A Dream

Straight from my Heart

I started Jenny Wren as an interior decorating and upscaling vintage furniture business. Both are something I love to do. The thought of being paid to do something helpful to others but so much fun for me was an absolute dream. I began my journey on Instagram because it was free advertising. So without knowing what I was doing I threw up a few pictures on Instagram and started a business account. In the process I found a whole new world of interior decor and design. It has been a bumpy, and wild ride of discovery as the tech world continues to keep us all on our toes.

I Never Thought I’d Have a Blog

I just wanted to paint furniture, shop and decorate peoples homes. Like everyone else so many things changed for me During 2020. After I re-evaluated I realized how fulfilling I found my interactions with people on line. And the best part was, I could do this all right from my home. This is when the thought of a blog became a reality. I began to realize this could be the avenue that would help me reach a larger audience on a consistent basis. By doing this I can still continue to focus on staging and selling vintage pieces out of my home. This spring I’m doing my first pop up at a local vintage market which is super exciting for me!

Instagram was where I began and It will continue to be a large part of my online presence. I am often on stories showing a new recipe, speaking from the heart, giving home and garden tours, or styling the shelves at Target. But I would like to diversify into other platforms so I am on Pinterest and uploading tutorials on Youtube as well.

How Will this Blog Serve You?

My goal here in this space is to show you the process of creating a home that invites people to the table. Whether that’s literal or just a feeling people have when they come into your home. This blog is meant to give you practical ways to share hospitality and genuine care for people. I plan to do that by sharing our favorite Recipes, Gardening tips, Decorating, Home Projects, Party Planning Ideas, and DIY’s. My hope is that you will find something you can take away and find useful for your own life. This spaces provides an opportunity for printable crafts, scratch cooking, and house DIY’S all in one spot.
