Do you love to get a gift that feels like someone cared for all the details in a presentation? Today, I’m going to show you a very simple way to make your friends feel special this season with small paper packages.
Christmas is a wonderful time to give homemade gifts of caramels, hot cocoa, and other treats. One of the sweetest ways to give that gift is with these little paper bag packages.
An old family classic for us is caramel candy. This year I decided to wrap them up in cute little gingerbread house packages.
I’m not an artist by any means, but these little bags were not hard to make. I just cut the lunch bags into a cone shape at the top and then added a punch hole for my tag and embellished it with white puffy paint.

More Packaging ideas
If you aren’t interested in puffy paints or drawing, a very simple way to bag any treat is to buy small brown bags. These have a fun, glittery, wintery scene. Next, I get clear plastic party bags ( I pick these up from the dollar tree) and some ribbon to tie up the treats. These are perfect to give to neighbors, friends, teachers, and delivery men.
These are simple ways to make your gift feel a little extra special. You can pop fun cinnamon popcorn, or add Homemade candies, cookies, hot chocolate, soaps and lotions to the bags.
Brown Paperbag wreath Treat bag
Another fun idea to present your treats is with a paper bag, a card, and a miniature wreath to hang from the hole punch.
A card on the front would be a good place to personalize your gift or write a special message.
I simply cut the top of the paper bag off to the correct size for my treat, then I took a small card, cut the back off, and taped the front to the bag. I used mini wreaths for embellishment.
To wrap it up
Hopefully, I have given you a few ideas for inspiration when your tying up your treats this holiday season. It doesn’t have to be elaborate or fussy to make it feel special.
