My Name is Rose. I am passionate about creating beautiful and peaceful Indoor and outdoor spaces for my family and friends. My hope is that this blog will be a valuable resource for you filled with Decor, Recipes, Party planning, DIYs, and More. But even more than these things I want to give you hope and assurance that your house doesn’t need to be the newest, biggest, or trendiest to start practicing hospitality today.
The Name of my blog The Jenny Wren was picked in remembrance of my mother-in-law, who loved feeding and watching the little jenny’s from her window. Both my Mother and Mother-in-law were gracious in their hospitality and were always sharing meals with guests and family around their tables, and from their example, The Jenny Wren was born.
I love to gather furnishings that have stories to tell. Here on the blog and on Instagram Stories You can go with me to auctions Or watch as I Style shelves at Target. I find bargains online and in stores that I pass along to you. I will show and tell how I update old pieces of furniture and make them look charming and lovely again. And most nights you will find me in my favorite spot in my home, My Kitchen, Sharing Our Favorite Recipes in my segment, what’s for dinner.
So welcome! I’m So glad you came! I pray you will feel inspired and blessed when you leave!

A further glimpse into my heart.
Jason and I have been married for 30 years. We were honored to raise these 4 ….Malaina, Jalen, Micah and Sophia. We have had the tremendous honor to add another daughter and 2 granddaughters to our tribe when our son Jalen married his sweetheart, Emily.
By trade, Jason is a builder and knows all things about home projects. He has built us a home and remodeled 3 more in our years together.
Our Children are all over the world and pop in occasionally for extended stays between new adventures. This is why We call it the rubber band years. 🙂 We are grateful when we can spend time together as a family.
One of our favorite things to do is invite people in and feed them around the table. There is something precious that happens when we sit at the table. The smell, the atmosphere, the lighting and the food all contribute to a feeling of being cared for and loved. People really look at one another and warm conversation becomes a bond between hearts. Out of our love for hospitality and passion for turning houses into homes, we have found fulfillment in serving others in this way.
If any of this sounds like something you want to learn. Follow us here for how-to’s, Inspiration and encouragement. Sometimes lighting a match is all it takes to ignite the passion that’s been there all along.
