Banana Bread is one of the most common Dessert Breads I make. I’ve been using the same recipe for over 20 years and while I try others from time to time I always come back to my old faithful banana bread recipe.
Banana Muffins for individual serving size
Sometimes I like to use the same recipe and serve the banana bread in individual little muffin cups. I do think its easy to over bake them when I serve them like this so be careful, learn from me, and don’t dry them out by over baking your muffins. I bake them at 350 and start to check them at 20 minutes. Often they need to bake closer to 25 minutes.
When I’m baking the bread I bake them at 325 for 70 minutes. I think the slower bake often helps keep the bread loaf moist.
These are Fair Winners
These were even blue ribbon winners at our county fair one year. When Sophie was in Middle School she wanted to participate one year and entered this recipe. She threw in some Chocolate chips just to make sure they’d have the best chance of winning.
